Online Counselling to Support Your Mental Health - Helping You Navigate Life’s Challenges

Welcome to Coral Sun Counselling. I’m Louise, a fully qualified counsellor offering online counselling to support you through life’s many challenges. Whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, grief, depression, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I provide a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly and begin to find balance again.

I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, but counselling can give you the time and space you need to reflect, process emotions, and move forward at your own pace. Taking that first step might feel daunting, but many people find that talking with a counsellor brings relief, clarity, and the tools to cope with whatever life brings.

Why People Choose Counselling

Counselling can be helpful for anyone experiencing emotional or mental challenges. Some of the areas I support people with include:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression and low mood
  • Bereavement and grief
  • Low self-esteem or confidence
  • Work-related stress and burnout
  • Social anxiety
  • Addiction
  • PTSD and trauma

No matter your circumstances, you don’t have to face things alone. Online counselling offers the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings from the comfort of your own home. For many people, being able to access support without travelling makes therapy more accessible and less intimidating. It also allows you to fit sessions around your lifestyle, work, or family commitments.

Counselling is not only about managing immediate difficulties, but also about long-term growth. Together, we can work on building resilience, developing healthier coping strategies, and improving your overall sense of well-being. Many clients find that therapy helps them gain new perspectives, improve relationships, and reconnect with what is most important to them.

Specialist Insight for Front Line Workers

Alongside my general counselling services, I also bring specialist insight for front line workers. Before retraining as a counsellor, I spent over 21 years as a HCPC-registered paramedic. I know first-hand how roles in healthcare, emergency services, and other front line positions can affect mental health.

If you’re a paramedic, nurse, firefighter, police officer, or emergency services staff, you may face unique pressures such as long shifts, exposure to trauma, and the weight of responsibility. These experiences can take a toll on your emotional health and sometimes leave you feeling isolated or misunderstood. With my lived experience, I provide counselling that understands and supports these challenges.

Many frontline professionals feel pressure to “stay strong” for others, but this can make it harder to acknowledge their own struggles. Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can share your experiences openly and work through the impact they have had on you.

Other Services I Offer

While I specialise in counselling for front line workers, my services extend beyond that. I also offer online counselling for anyone dealing with life’s many challenges, including:

  • I have found Louise very professional as a counsellor. Louise as helped me get through a very stressful time. She as helped me with the right mindset and gave me very professional advice. She was there for me when I needed her the most.I would recommend Louise.
Thank you Louise I’m so glad that I found you.

  • I’ve been speaking to Louise for the past 7 weeks and wow! There’s been SUCH a big improvement in my overall wellbeing. What I love is that she ‘gets’ the job, being a paramedic herself, so when I talk about things like lifting bags or carrying a patient out, she knows exactly what I mean.

Louise has taken so much of her time to really listen, not just to the trauma I’ve been through, but to everything that’s going on in my life. She’s introduced me to different models and ways of thinking that have genuinely helped reframe my thoughts and stop the spiral into catastrophising.

I’ve spoken to plenty of people over the years, but it’s just different when someone truly understands the kind of work we do, the things we see and how that affects us. The kind of stuff that might be “normal” to us would be totally shocking to someone outside of our world, so being able to talk to someone who already gets that means the support is actually relevant and helpful and I’ve never felt judged.

So whether it’s work related or things going on in your personal life, get in touch with Louise. I would highly recommend her and her passion to help. 💚

  • Thanks Louise,

And thank you for the last 12 weeks. Being able to talk through my issues has been very beneficial and has enabled me to realise that I cannot change an idyllic dream, but I can change the dynamics of our relationship to a more positive experience for myself by maintaining boundaries and retaining my self worth.
    Thank you again

My Approach to Therapy

Every client is different, which is why I take an integrated approach to therapy. I draw on a range of counselling models to suit your individual needs:

Person-Centred Therapy

Focusing on your experiences, helping you grow in self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Gestalt Therapy

Encouraging exploration of emotions and thoughts in the present moment to develop deeper understanding.

Transactional Analysis

Exploring relationship and communication patterns to help you build healthier connections.

By combining these approaches, we can create a therapeutic process that feels flexible and personal to you. Some sessions may focus on managing immediate difficulties, while others might explore deeper patterns, helping you make lasting changes that support both your mental and emotional health.
